Morphodynamic Analysis and Statistical Synthesis of Geomorphic Data

less than 1 minute read

I am happy to share a paper accepted in JGR:ES in which we analyze and synthesize the morphodynamics of rivers on the Earth surface via spatial stochastic modeling. In the paper, we use concepts from Markov theory, mathematical morphology, multiple-point geostatistics, and convex optimization to produce a stochastic model that can be calibrated from satellite images of field-scale observations. Please follow the link to the manuscript.
